NFL Week 7 Early Game Picks
Pittsburgh Steelers (5-0) @ Tennessee Titans (5-0) -1.0
Pretty much a pick ‘em game here with only a one point spread in favor of the Titans. After outright destroying the Browns last week, I truly do not see the Steelers stepping off the gas, give me Steelers +1.0 all day.
My pick: Steelers +1.0
Detroit Lions (2-3) @ Atlanta Falcons (1-5) -2.5
What an absolutely terrible game with an even worse spread. Two and a half points does not give me any reason to approach this game with my wallet but if you are interested in my opinion, I think the Falcons will cover but with this team who knows. I advise bettors to stay far away from this matchup.
My pick: Falcons -2.5
Cleveland Browns (4-2) -3.0 @ Cincinnati Bengals (1-4-1)
The Browns’ week two matchup was an embarrassment against the Bengals. Even though the Browns took home the win, they allowed the Bengals to score 30 points and they only won by five. Baker seemed absolutely sick when discussing last week’s loss to the Steelers which means he is back in the cycle of “suck, not suck” we are used to with him. I think three points is too little for this matchup I am taking the Browns -3.0. If the Browns want to stay relevant in the playoff picture, they’re going to have to win these “easy” divisional matchups.
My pick: Browns -3.0
Carolina Panthers (3-3) @ New Orleans Saints (3-2) -7.5
The Saints truly have not impressed me this year with two bad losses against the Raiders and the Packers, both losses by seven points. When the Saints have won, they have beaten teams by an average of 6.67 points. Not good when two of your wins are against the Lions and Chargers. The Panthers have been a sneakily good team all year, and I expect the Saints without Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders to be lacking in the points department. I believe the Saints will win, but not cover. The Panthers are too good to lose by more than a touchdown.
My pick: Panthers +7.5
Buffalo Bills (4-2) -10.5 @ New York Jets (0-6)
Lord have mercy on the New York Jets. I expect a truly scary performance from MVP candidate Josh Allen. This will be a massacre. Nothing else to be said.
My pick: Bills -10.5
Dallas Cowboys (2-4) @ Washington Football Team (1-5) PK
Ah, the boys versus the team. Andy Dalton showed last week that he is absolutely terrible, and the Football Team showed last week that they are also terrible. A game that will put any fan on suicide watch, however there is money to be made. It is almost disrespectful to the Cowboys that this game is a pick ‘em. I expect Zeke to be an absolute work horse this week, coming back from his fumble problems last week against the Cardinals. The Football Team has no reason to win this game while the Cowboys are desperately holding onto their preseason hype (and a potential playoff spot).
My pick: Cowboys PK
Green Bay Packers (4-1) -3.5 @ Houston Texans (1-5)
Did the world just forget about Aaron Rodgers? Despite an overall terrible performance last week against the Brady-led Buccaneers, the Packers are still the Packers. And the fact this line is only favoring the Packers by 3.5 is a disgrace. Absolutely hammer this line there are no excuses.
My pick: Packers -3.5
